2008–2009 Multimedia Entries:

Wow!

In keeping with the 2008 PTA Reflections Arts Recognition Program’s theme—“Wow”—Carpenter had more than 200 entrants, and more District Level Winners than any school in the program’s history! Wow!

Students entered in six different categories: Visual Arts, Photography, Literature, Musical Composition, Dance Choreography, and Film/Video Production. Entries were judged by professional artists using anonymous judging techniques. Carpenter sent 20 Unit Winners to the District Level (including two Kindergarteners).

In addition, many Carpenter participants will receive Outstanding Artistic Achievement Awards.

Of the 20 Unit Winners, Carpenter had a record-breaking seven District-Level Winners. Those seven students will have their entries sent on to the State Level and will be honored at a District-wide reception on April 17.

Congratulations to the following District-Level Winners: In Film/Video Production: Max Wolloff (second grade) and Rachel Herstik (fourth grade). In Dance Choreography: Marshall Schaffer (fifth grade) and Nikita Melwani (second grade). In Music: Dani Fish (fourth grade) and Elder Gindroz (Kindergarten). In Visual Arts: Hana Odson (fifth grade).
Congratulations to everyone who entered. Wow!
